ClamWin is a Free/Open source Antivirus program for Microsoft Windows. It works on almost all the Windows versions like 98/Me/2000/XP/2003 and Vista. ClamWin is based on the Clam AntiVirus (ClamAV) engine. ClamAV is an antivirus toolkit for UNIX, designed especially for email-scanning on mail gateways. ClamWin Free Antivirus comes with an easy installer and open source code. You may download and use it absolutely free of charge. Open source means the source is freely available on the Internet. Anyone can modify and contribute to the project.

The only minus point of ClamWin is that it doesn’t (yet) include a real-time scanner. You have to manually scan files for viruses. This feature is being worked on and may be available in the near future.
